Where do you go when you’re all alone? When God seems silent? When the Heavens don’t open and you feel that everything and everyone is against you? There is a place that I call the glory bubble. It’s is a place of refuge, safety and peace.
Sometimes if I’m awake and sleep is elusive, I pull out my Bible and recently at those times, I’ve been reading Psalm 3 in a beautiful new translation called The Passion Translation (TPT).
Here are some excerpts from verses 3, 5 & 8:
You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually … for you surround me with your glory … My true hero comes to my rescue, for the Lord alone is my Saviour.
(Emphasis mine)
What do you do when you are feeling abandoned, misunderstood or can’t find God’s answer in your loneliness?
He can be the way through even if you and I can’t quite locate the presence or person of Him in the midst of a heartfelt need. But He is in fact right next to us, and in us, and going before us as well as our rearguard in troubled times. As the TPT translation said it so well, He surrounds us. I like to think of it a bit like a bubble. We’re wrapped up in this glory bubble so that nothing, absolutely nothing, can harm us.
Can you see His protective bubble? Or instead maybe you only see the bubble wrap of problems? Look as I do. See a cocoon-like enclosure with you inside. Allow Him to deliver you to a safe, secure place. Nothing can harm you within His amazing glorious presence.
Imagine if you and I lived there. What a world it would be. A glory bubble of a world. From there anything, everything is possible!
Love and Hugs,
Peta
